Sharing Notes

Sending Notes by E-Mail

1To begin sending the active page of notes to a coworker, on the Standard toolbar, click the E-mail button.
2To address the message, for the purposes of this exercise, press SPACEBAR to have address typed for you on the To box.
3To add a description of the notes, click in the Introduction box, and then press SPACEBAR to have the description typed for you.
4To send the notes, on the toolbar of the message window, click Send a Copy.
5To select all the pages in a section so that you can send them, hold down the CTRL key and click the Notes page tab, click the Equipment page tab, and then click the Registration page tab.
6To create an e-mail message containing the pages, on the Standard toolbar, click the E-Mail button, and then press SPACEBAR to have the recipient's address typed for you.
7To enter a description for the pages, click the Introduction box, and then press SPACEBAR to have description typed for you.
8To send the notes, on the toolbar of the message window, click Send a Copy.

Printing Notes

1To print all the notes on the active page using the default settings, on the Standard toolbar, click the indicated Print button.
2To change the default print settings, click the File menu, and then click Print.
3To specify which pages to print, in the Print dialog box, double-click 3 in the Pages box, and then for the purposes of this exercise, press SPACEBAR to have the page range typed for you.
4To print multiple copies, in the Number of copies box, click the Up arrow three times (until 4 appears in the box).
5To change the orientation of the page so that it will print horizontally, click Preferences, and in the Printing Preferences dialog box, under Orientation, click Landscape, and then click OK.
6 To print with the new settings, in the Print dialog box, click Print.
7To adjust the way the notes fit on the printed page, click the File menu, and then click Page Setup.
8To set the paper size, in Paper size area of the Page Setup task pane, click the Size arrow, and then click Letter.
9To change the margins of the printed page, in the Print margins area, triple-click 0.5" in the Top box, and then for the purposes of this exercise, press SPACEBAR to have a new number typed for you.
10To close the Page Setup task pane, click the Close button on its title bar.
11To preview the active page before printing it, on the Standard toolbar, click the Print Preview button, as indicated.
12To change the orientation of the page so that it will print vertically, in the Print Preview and Settings dialog box, under Orientation, click Landscape.
13To print with the new settings, in the Print Preview and Settings dialog box, click Print, and then in the Print dialog box, click Print again.

Publishing Notes on Web Pages

1 To save the active page as a Web page, click the File menu, and then click Publish Pages.
2To designate the folder in which OneNote should store the Web page file, on the Places bar on the left side of the Publish dialog box, click the My Documents icon.
3To change the name of the file, in the File name box, for the purposes of this exercise, press SPACEBAR to have the new name typed for you.
4To save the current page as a Web page named GardenExpo, click Publish.
5To check that the page of notes has been stored in the My Documents folder, click the Start button, and then on the Start menu, click My Documents.
6To view Web page in a Web browser, in the My Documents window, double-click the GardenExpo MHTML document.
7To close the Web browser, in the upper-right corner of the browser window, click the Close button.
8To close the My Documents window, click its Close button.
