Reviewing and Sharing a Presentation
Adding Comments to a Presentation
| 1 | To begin inserting a comment, click the Insert menu, and then click Comment. |
| 2 | In the comment box, type Does this cover everything? |
| 3 | To close the comment box, click the blank area to the right of the comment box. |
| 4 | To display the comment, point to the small box on the slide that contains Catherine's initials. |

| 13 | To hide the comment box, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Markup button (first button on the left). |
| 14 | To display the comment box, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Markup button. |
| 15 | To insert a comment in Slide 8, in the Slide pane, click three times below the scroll box on the scroll bar, and then click Slide 8. |
| 16 | To open a new comment box, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Insert Comment button. |

Adding Password Protection to a Presentation
| 1 | To begin adding a password to a presentation, click the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Security tab. |
| 2 | To set the password, in the Password to modify box, type tulip, and then press ENTER. |
| 3 | To confirm the password, in the Confirm Password dialog box, in the Reenter password to modify box, type tulip, and then press ENTER. |
| 4 | To save the presentation, on the Standard toolbar, click the Save button. |
| 5 | To close the presentation, click the lower of the two Close buttons in the upper-right corner of the window. |
| 6 | To open the presentation, on the Standard toolbar, click the Open button. |
| 7 | Double-click the Presentations folder, click the TGC Training file, and then click Open. |
| 8 | In the Password box, type roses, and then press ENTER. |
| 9 | To close the alert message, click OK, and then click Read Only. |
| 10 | To close the presentation, click the lower of the two Close buttons in the upper-right corner of the window. |
| 11 | To open the presentation, on the Standard toolbar, click the Open button, click the TGC Training filename, and then click Open. |
| 12 | In the Password box, type tulip, and then press ENTER. |
| 13 | To remove the password, click the Tools menu, and click Options. |
| 14 | To delete the password, double-click the contents of the Password to modify box, and press the DELETE key. |

Sending a Presentation Using E-Mail
| 1 | To begin sending a file for review through e-mail, click the File menu, point to Send To, and then click Mail Recipient (for Review). |
| 2 | In the To: box, type mikeg@gardenco.com. |
| 3 | To set the priority of the message as high priority, on the Message toolbar, click the Importance: High button (the red exclamation point). |
| 4 | To set the flag for follow up, on the Message toolbar, click the Message Flag button. |
| 5 | To display the Calendar, in the Flag for Follow Up dialog box, click the Due by arrow, in the month of August, click 20, and then click OK. |
| 6 | To type your message, click in the Message pane, below the text Please review the attached document, and then type Thank you |
| 7 | To send the message, on the Message toolbar, click the Send button. |
Tracking Changes in a Presentation
| 1 | To begin tracking changes in your presentation, click the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Reviewing. |
| 2 | To merge a file, click the Tools menu, click Compare and Merge Presentations, in the Presentations folder, click the Merge file, and then click Merge. |
| 3 | In response to the message box, click Continue. |
| 4 | To begin hiding the comments made by Kim Yoshida, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Reviewers button. |
| 5 | To clear the checkbox, click Kim Yoshida, and then click the blank area to the right of the Reviewers box. |
| 6 | To display revisions by all reviewers, click the Reviewers button, select the All Reviewers check box, and then click the blank area to the left of the Reviewers box. |
| 7 | To display the comments made by Kim Yoshida, in the Revisions pane, under Slide Changes, click KY1. |
| 8 | To display the changes to the slide, in the Revisions pane, click the Gallery tab. |
| 9 | To display slide changes by the reviewer, in the Revisions pane, click the List tab. |
| 10 | To delete comments, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Delete Comment arrow, and then click Delete All Markers on the Current Slide. |
| 11 | To display changes made by Kim Yoshida in Slide 2, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Next Item button. |
| 12 | In the Track Changes box, select the Inserted “Available in the office” (Kim Yoshida) check box. |
| 13 | To close the Track Changes box, click the blank area to the left of the box. |
| 14 | To apply changes proposed by Kim Yoshida, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Apply button (fifth from left). |
| 15 | To select the Track Changes marker, in the Slide pane, click the Track Changes Marker. |
| 16 | To delete the marker, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Delete Marker button. |
| 17 | To view the revision markers in Slide 3, at the bottom of the Revisions Pane, click the Next button. |
| 18 | To display the changes that Kim Yoshida made to the slide, in the Revisions Pane, click the Gallery tab. |
| 19 | To apply the changes, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Apply arrow, and then click Apply All Changes to the Current Slide. |
| 20 | To delete the markers, on the Reviewing toolbar, click the Delete Comment arrow, and then click Delete All Markers on the Current Slide. |
| 21 | To verify if there are other changes in the presentation, in the Revisions Pane, click the List tab. |
Broadcasting a Presentation over a Network
| 1 | To begin scheduling a presentation broadcast, click the Slide Show menu, point to Online Broadcast, and then click Schedule a Live Broadcast. |
| 2 | To select a shared network folder, click Settings, click Browse, and then click Select. |
| 3 | The network server name appears in the Save broadcast file in box. In the Audio/Video area of the Broadcast Settings dialog box, click None |
| 4 | To close the Broadcast Settings dialog box, click OK. |

| 12 | To send a message to your audience, click Broadcast, and then click Audience Message. |
| 13 | Type Be ready, and then click Update. |
| 14 | To display the lobby page in the window, click Preview Lobby Page. |
| 15 | To close the lobby page, in the browser window, click the File menu, and then click Close. |
| 16 | To broadcast the presentation, in the Broadcast Presentation dialog box, click Start. |

Delivering a Presentation on the Road
| 1 | To start the Pack and Go Wizard, click the File menu, and then click Pack and Go. |
| 2 | To select a presentation, in the first page of the Pack and Go Wizard, click Next. |
| 3 | To select the active presentation, in the second page of the Pack and Go Wizard, click Next. |
| 4 | To select a destination in which to store your presentation, in the third page of the Pack and Go Wizard, click Choose destination, and then click Browse. |
| 5 | To select a shared network folder, double-click the Presentations folder, click Select, and then click Next. |
| 6 | To ensure that linked files used in your presentation are not included, in the fourth page of the Wizard, click the Include linked files check box to clear it. |
| 7 | To embed the fonts, click the Embed TrueType fonts check box to select it, and then click Next. |
| 8 | To select it, in the fifth page, click Viewer for Microsoft Windows, and then click Next. |
| 9 | To finish packing your presentation, in the sixth page of the Wizard, click Finish. |
| 10 | To save and close the presentation, on the Standard toolbar, click the Save button, click the Close window button, and then close PowerPoint. |
| 11 | To begin the slide show, on the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer. |
| 12 | To navigate to your presentation, click the TGC Training file, and then click Show. |
| 13 | To advance through the presentation, click the mouse button three times. |
